Dr. Lee Sze Chet is a professional psychiatrist currently practicing at the newly established Together Mind Specialist Clinic mental health clinic.<\/p>\n
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Subsequently, she was assigned to serve the Ministry of Health at Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim in Sungai Petani, Kedah. Since 2013, she has joined the Department of Psychiatry at Penang General Hospital and has earned her diploma certification in hypnotherapy.<\/p>\n
In 2015, she dedicated herself full-time to postgraduate training in psychiatry, returning to her alma mater, UKM, for further studies. In the same year, she received training in mindfulness therapy, and in 2019, she published an award-winning research paper on mindfulness intervention study for caregivers of children with language pathology.<\/p>\n
Dr. Lee is a strong advocate for destigmatising mental illness and enhancing mental health care. While serving in Sabah, she led a community psychiatry home visit team and worked closely with various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to improve psychiatric services for mental health patients.<\/p>\n
She has a special interest in mood disorders and mindfulness psychotherapy, and is skilled in providing mindfulness therapy for patients troubled by stress or emotional issues.
